Essex Terminal Railway C-420 #106 (which began life as L&HR #22) is imaged while stopped waiting for track to be lined up at entrance to Ojibway yard. This locomotive would put in a little over 4 more years before being sold to the Arkansas& Missouri (as their #50), after toiling 16 years on the ETL.

  1. Funky MARS light on the handrails. But then again, pre-ditchlights it was probably all the rage.

This one’s still put-putting around today, down south as the A&M 50.

  2. Cool.
