On a beautiful day in Mattawa we see the OVR 3582, 1703 bringing the train back westbound. The 3582 began life as CN 2582, and the GP9E as SP 5602, and she was scrapped in 2008. The excursion train was a good idea, but it just didn’t catch on. Perhaps poor marketing? I wonder how many of those CN MR-420s had a 2nd life,in the 90s they had become very troublesome.

Great shot, not too many shots around of this train, or 1703 renumbered, it must have been a 4200 series before that.

Of the HR412s OVR had one other that I believe went to a short line in Michigan, Lakestate I believe had one as well as Ohio Central. KPR when it had the M420s had one for parts.
