The limitations of even the best indoor display of preserved rail equipment become evident when trying to photograph said displays. Thankfully I visited on a weekday, so the museum was particularly devoid of errant children, which are all too common when trying to photograph museum displays. This 1928 Angus built "Northern" 4-8-4 is part of the Canada Science and Technology Museum's collection, of which only a small part is on public display. The red sign in the foreground indicates that a guided tour of the locomotives is available at 10:15am. The cabs are set up to allow visitors to walk through and experience what it's like to be inside a steam engine.
