A near Christmas Saturday afternoon finds opposing ends of weekend stored GO Transit push-pull commuter equipment at CP Guelph Junction. GO GP40-2(W) 709 was built by GMD London in 1975. Following the introduction of F59PH’s she would be conveyed to Canadian National in 1991 and renumbered to CN 9676. The former GO unit continues in service to this day, currently in the province of Alberta. Note the brass bell above the cab windows. Cab control car 103 was constructed by Hawker Siddeley in 1967. Ultimately displaced by 200 series double deck cab cars, the remaining 100 series cars were sold the province of Quebec in 1994.
