It does not feel like it, but it has been just over ten years since I took this shot. OSR operates this line now, the CP GP9u's are almost history. Here we have a ballast train parked on the Beachville siding along the St.Thomas Subdivision on a very nice summer day. The train would later be picked up by the Putnam switcher returning to Woodstock becoming an awesome lash up of 3 GP9u's and one GP7u.

  1. Nice. Around that time (2004) I managed to shoot a meet of the CP CAMI job heading back to w=Woodstock and the westbound Frame Train at Beachville. Both had an item 4 at Beachville (OCS control at the time). Item 4 meets were fairly rare on the St. Thomas but did occur a few times a year. Some of the rail in the siding at Beachville is pre 1900!

  2. Awesome. A GP9u of CP heritage is running the line again. OSR 1620, ex. CP 1620, nee CP 8659 has been operating for a month and a half. Here are some pics…
