The first of what would become a number of good catches this day, NS 2703 leads CN 5556, 4141, and 4018 on 373's train through the grand curve at Whitby. One marvels at the luck involved in catching an NS leader with a 60F and two GP9's trailing, and I tip my hat to the power planners. For those wondering, the geeps aren't strictly along for the rid as the 4018 was working as they passed by Beare on the grade up the York Sub. 0946hrs.
