CN 148 was reported as having an ES44DC bracketed by a pair of SD60F’s yesterday, which meant that an SD60F would most likely lead CN 149 out of the Port of Montreal the next morning. Unfortunately fume issues with the leader meant that the crew rearranged the lashup to have ES44DC CN 2339 leading. Here CN 149 crosses the Lachine Canal not too long after leaving the Port of Montreal, with a long intermodal train bound for Chicago. Yes, the only through freights here on a regular basis are 148 arriving in the middle of the night and 149 leaving in the morning. Other than that you have a CN switcher going in and out about once a day and grain trains during the winter.
