    Interesting. It’s not a remote-control unit, but the dynamic brakes have been removed.

    All the 1500/1600′s (except for a few that were later renumbered) had their dynamic brakes “castrated” by CP and their transition removed (limited to max 35mph), as they were intended for yard or local service. The 8200′s were all “roadswitchers” so kept both for mainline running.
