Thanks. I have plans to go back there soon since I never got updated photos of not only the station, but I don’t have a lot of photos taken of the CP either. Strange I haven’t done this in the 11 years since of my last visit!
The first track north of the main was still designated as a “siding” in the timetable until the mid 1970s. Short trains could pull in there to meet or be passed by other trains. The last time I recall it being used, the 36 car acid train went in there for 904, I was on another westbound waiting for “the big four” in Killean siding. Yet another westbound was up in Orr’s Lake siding. It was a typical busy Saturday on the Galt Sub.
