CNR 6060 was restored a few years previous with a lot of help from the always short-sighted Alberta government. Once it was complete, there were no real plans in place to operate it, but somehow it managed to hang on. Here it is at the Edmonton Fringe Festival having to operate on several hundred feet of little-used track at the north end of CP's yard. This is on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River valley that separates it from Downtown Edmonton.
What a sad scene.

  1. Seems to me it should run excursions west from Jasper to Redpass Junc and back. A nice loop there for it!

  2. That would be nice, but I am sure CN would feel otherwise :-)
