I first encountered this impressive bridge several years ago while driving on Hwy 11 towards Kapuskasing. From what I can gather, the bridge was constructed around 1909-1910 when the National Transcontinental Railway was being built across Northern Ontario. According to their town website, Fauquier was named after the brothers who were in charge of constructing the bridge. On this day I found ONT 2200 leading 30 cars on their way from Hearst to Cochrane.
