When I started railfanning back in the mid 1990s this location quickly became a favourite of mine. A group of us nicknamed "the Georgetown Railfan Society:) would often spend the afternoon noon here. Before the ritzy golf course took over the parallel land anyone could hike in here, hop the fence and get great shots in both directions all afternoon. Today I rarely venture in and shoot here mainly as it is overgrown and I don't want to scare off the golfers :) The bridge has taken a bit away from the shot too but in the fall the colour is still quite decent here. This past Friday I fought my way through the waist high weeds to catch CN 435 with a trio of older GE built units. I still love this place and the memories it holds.
