It's a chilly fall night, the echoing enchantment of 8 cylinder 710 series prime movers idle through the air. On our left, CP 2244 sits by her lonesome after being switched off the TEC train due to the computer screen on the control stand going bad, beside her is the London Pickup tied up for the night as the crew rests in the hotel a few miles to the east.
