Home for Christmas and anticipated return to familiar trackage. RLHH 2081 GP38-2 (formerly RLK 3873)arrived Garnet Yard as the third unit, on SOR 597's return from Brantford, during the early hours of Friday, Dec 9th amidst the area's first dusting of snow. RLHH 2081 adorned in attractive G&W livery colours, and a favourite of several, has aged with brawn and beauty ... a masterful restoration for sure! RLHH 2081 and stable mates RLHH 3404 and RLHH 3403 parked on the yard track just north of the main yard switch are readied and snorting awaiting arrival of the day crew to commence switching assignments. It will be interesting to see if RLHH 2081 remains as power on the daily freight or takes over as switcher at the Esso refinery, Nanticoke. If interested in RLHH 2081's history and corresponding livery coats of many colours, please check out recent photos and related details submitted by both Joe Bishop and Rob Smith.

  1. Sweet Glenn! 2081 has replaced 2301 at ESSO, so hopefully we can get some decent shots of it down there!
