Caption: The H.J. Heinz Co. plant in Leamington Ontario was the most significant rail customer in the area, located at the end of the 13.8 mile Leamington Sub that branched off the CASO at Comber. Here, CN GP9 4373 switches a healthy cut of insulated boxcars for Heinz on May 2nd 1985. Unfortunately the plant, which opened in 1909, was closed by Heinz in 2014 (but was subsiquently sold to Highbury Canco for continued operation).
