On a cool and overcast afternoon, "pusher power" is coupled on to a loaded coal train at Teck loadout waiting for a crew to push up the mountain. The 6001 will be the controlling unit for the pusher units, coupled to SD40's 762 & 761. The diesel units could be MU'd to the electric units in trailing and would be fully functional as trailing. If the scenario was reversed, the electric unit could not be operated from the diesel unit leading. the electric unit would have to be setup "dead in tow" with the pantograph down.
