A westbound with 1 green flag passes through Chatham on the CP Windsor Sub on Feb 23/84 with 5545-4560 doing the honours. I had positioned myself at this particular crossing (the name of which I forget) with the sole intention of having a train pass by the wigwags. Unfortunately one of the locals came walking up just as the train arrived. I believe thats a Marathon Realty sign behind the crossing signal pole.

  1. Honestly, the local makes the shot. Adds the human element Bruce. Great work!

  2. Bruce….this one took me awhile to figure out. But I did. There is only one crossing in Chatham where it goes straight through the intersection….and that’s at King and Adelaide Streets. This would mean the station would have been behind you and to the left of the train. Again…great photo as you have captured another Chatham scene “of what once was”. :)

  3. Nice one Bruce. Surprised that the ‘local’ is standing considering the neighborhood.

    Great shot………

  4. ahhhh, the Royal Tavern. Just like the C&O, located in the heavy section…
