Hard work DOES pay off!!! My day began with a casual drive, out to see if there was any action around. My intent was at least trying to catch both the afternoon VIA trains, 76 & 73. However, at Dhillon road a long eastbound CP 650 was stopped, and slowly took the siding leading up to Bloomfield Road. Knowing that there may be another hot shot eastbound, or even better a westbound, I picked my spot in downtown Chatham to shoot from. I only got as far as William Street, and the barriers had come down as 235 was rushing west! I immediately pulled into a grocery store parking lot, turned around, and chased 235 all the way out to Haycroft. And still only had a quick few minutes to spare due to local traffic. It was worth it, as there were three engines leading this charge in CP 8742, UP 5086 and CP 5023. This is about as rare as three trains running daylight for the CP these days!

  1. Nice catch, Todd. Well framed with the Canadian flag atop the elevator.
