In 1968 i was apprentice at The PSC shops in Montreal and remember them,they removed their engine and generators and also traction motors before shipping them to the scrap,their double crankshaft engine remained in storage until 1972-73 .

Many used FM prime movers, though not necessarily from these units, were re-sold for marine applications.
