I Lied. The 422 I shot on Christmas eve that I said could be the last train I shoot on CN in 2017 and I'd be good to go? Nope. Not even close. The SD40-2 was taken off @ Fort Erie, the balance of power was on 422 this afternoon, and a Windmill train empty from the BPRR at Buffalo had the lone SD for motive power. The motive power gods are smiling on us boyos and I'm grateful. So was the sunshine, so I got my Vitamin D fix. More to come.

  1. Nice catch.

  2. Damn

  3. Not all that long ago either James :) hehehe

Chased it to copetown too – light faded badly by then.

  4. Haha yup, and I know exactly where I was that day which makes it sting even more. Pre-dates me getting a camera by about a month or so though. I still don’t have an SD40 leading on CN.

  5. Sorry about that but you can’t let it sting. There’s things that are before one’s time and this is your pariah.

I could go on about the MLW’s i didn’t get on camera because I started shooting in 2001..

but I’ll those who were photographers before me share theirs :)
