On September 25, 1965 the UCRS sponsored a Toronto-London excursion via Paris and Guelph. Here we see 4-8-4 6218 being serviced at Hamilton. There is SO MUCH to see in this photo...in addition to the Northern, one can see wooden vans, two S4 yard locomotives in black (8168 and another unidentified unit), FPA2u 6758 and FPA4 6780 in then new "CN" stripes, lots of 40 foot cars including some from the CPR and GTW, team tracks, and the express building. Quite a contrast with today's Stuart Street yard.

  1. Further out in the bay that looks like one of Canada Steamship Lines package freighters.

  3. I think I count 7 wood vans in this photo
