RFFSA 2712, a BB-trucked EMD G12, is seen on shop trucks with a sister unit and GMDH-1 1001 at GMD's London Ontario locomotive plant in 1963. 2712 was one of 18 G12's built for the RRFSA (Rede Ferroviária Federal, Sociedade Anônima, the state-owned railway company) in Brazil, built at the GMD London Ontario plant between December 1963 and April 1964, numbered 2711-2728.

    Did they ever test them out on their original trucks?

    There was some multi-gauge track at GMD (at least in their later years) so it’s possible narrow gauge (or, wide gauge) locos may have been run around the plant area a bit before coming off their trucks for shipping.
