VIA train 84 is arriving at the Downtown Brampton GO/VIA on time to let a few people on. They are crossing over the Mill st crossing which has been repaved just this past July actually with F40-PH 6406 leading. The building on the right hand side known as The Old Shoe Factory plays a role in the history of the rail lines here actually. Notice how the building begins to curve to the south just after the signal post. This is because the old CN/CP interchange track ran right alongside the building back in the day when CP ran to Owensound. Most of the rails for the old CN/CP interchange track are still in place rotting away but if the GO trains ever make it to Orangeville they’ll likely be brought back to life.

  1. Not that i noticed too many times as I rolled by this building on many trains :-) At the west end of the building there was a company that taught pole dancing..I rarely ever peeked through the window..ok i looked every time :-)

  2. ngineered4u – Now thats what I’d call good knowledge of the territory!
