This exSP U25B turned "S3-2B" (slug) is certainly one of the most unique industrial units I've come across, right down to the Mars light.

  1. SP converted 14 GE U25B’s into slugs. The first one was termed as model S3-3BDE, while the others were like this, S3-2B model. PHLX 6 is the former SP 1602, a rebuild of U25B 6765 nee SP 7565.
The 1606 was sold to Ark & Missouri RR in 2010; and UPY 937 exx SP 1612 was sold to Larrys Truck Electric in 2017.
Your other photo, Matt, of all 3 units, is a classic !!

  2. This is unreal. Are there any other survivors ?
