After a rare evening run at the request of Huntsville Mayor Claude Doughty I have backed the Portage Flyer into the yard and hopped out to take a photo while waiting for the train shed doors to be opened. The afterglow of a fiery sunset has illuminated the scene with a soft, magical light, subduing the shadows as GE 25-Ton HLBR Number 3 poses serenely in front of the water tank beside Rotary Village Station in the Muskoka Heritage Place. Regular operations begin this Saturday, May 19 2012.
