Foreshadowing what was to come later in 2018, CN 1501, which is a Budd RDC Track Geometry Vehicle is seen rolling westbound towards Stratford through Petersburg no doubt documenting the track conditions of Goderich-Exeter Railway's (GEXR) Guelph Subdivision. The RDC had already had a busy morning operating over the Fergus Spur between Guelph and Cambridge as well as the entirety of the Huron Park Spur in Kitchener. Once VIA Rail train 85 had cleared the block at Kitchener, CN 1501 would follow it westward to London and back onto home rails at London Jct.
