The CN Vernon turn this morning is headed by a pair of Dash 9-44CWs. It has just cleared the shared CP trackage coming out of Kamloops and is slogging its way round the mountain on CN's Okanagan Sub. The first 5 miles or so is at a grade of over 2% and my estimate was it was working flat out to make only 8 to 10 mph.
