Plenty of power - some 10,600 HP! CN SD40-2 (W) 5320 (GMD 12/1979) together with SD50F No. 5428 (GMD 8/1986) and fifteen month old ES44DC No. 2223 lead a relatively short seventeen car consist eastward into London. Of the locomotives shown only the wide body ‘Draper Taper’ unit is off the CN roster; sold to Allied Services in 2008, most likely to be parted out. Elder statesman No. 5320, together with most of the surviving wide body SD40-2’s, now calls Alberta home.
