In contrast to Mr. Thomson's photo of Ontario Northland's Jordan spreader ONT 528 sandwiched between two boxcars at Cochrane, ON, here is sister machine ONT 529, sn 888, blt 1957, also a Type A, but with straight side wings, low front blade, and front operators cab. It is also sandwiched between two boxcars, only this one's in North Bay, ON.

  1. Sorry Paul, I found it but much to dark (backlit) to salvage and post. The one other I have is of the same style as Mr. Thomson’s.

  2. Nice photo Paul. Very similar to the black CN ones I saw being used in the Edmonton area, 20 or more years ago. I will have a look. I believe I may have a spreader photo, similar in style to this, with the big curved blades on the front.
