Part 6: We made it, 1501 finishes its rather exciting day of scanning the rails in the Hamilton area, I have no idea where its heading next, but safe to say I have my yearly fix now of this train. Happy Halloween.

  1. Hi Carson, great pictures of CN 1501 ! Thanks for chasing and photographing it , especially love the picture of it at Niagara Falls Station. To answer your question where it was headed next, yesterday (Sat Oct 31), I spotted it on CN’s Bala Sub on the east side of Highway 404 overpass (Vandorf) sitting still. It was a very sudden, complete surprise and driving north at 105 kmh absolutely no time to photograph it on my cell, and I don’t dare slam on the brakes ! I could be wrong, but it may have been waiting for the light to go south on the west track of the double track that ends on the west side of 404 bridge after come up from Doncaster on the east track. Happy Halloween indeed ! But 1501 is no pumpkin !! So good to see a super fixed-up RDC in so many different and unique locations many decades after they disappeared. Thanks so much for posting these pictures. John

  2. Saw it on the Halton Sub yesterday morning (Oct 31st) at Georgetown heading Eastbound.
