Back when CN 582 ran to St. Thomas in daylight (and 584 at night), OSR wasn't even in the picture and the St. Thomas and Eastern was the only shortline that ran into St. Thomas yard. NS still ran into St. Thomas when I took this picture (for a few more days), and CN and CP interchanged on the Wabash Transfer in St. Thomas as pictured above. Power from 386/7 was used on 582 which was just about anything on hand, such as seen in  this photo . A more mundane power set is shown on this day in December 2006 but to have this on the Wabash Transfer now..?? seems out of place. Only OSR uses this track today and no interchange occurs on it either.
