VIA #35 has spent the last mile or so braking from 100 to 65 mph. In less than a minute the train will pass through Hawthorne, and in about five minutes the train will have arrived at Ottawa station.

Normally, #35 arrives in Ottawa five minutes before #26 departs. Today's #35 was late and met #26 at Carlsbad Springs, where it lost even more time, ultimately arriving 37 minutes late.

It's early March 2018 and 6416 has yet to trade its Canada 150 wrap for the VIA 40th Anniversary logo.
