A light blanket of snow covers a good portion of the lifeless rails on the north side of Guelph Junction. Mother nature has created a winter wonderland while Goderich Exeter's power slumbers over the holiday weekend. It would appear that the new tenant of the Guelph Junction Railway has yet to be legally allowed within the former Ontario Southland engine house at the junction, as all power still sits outside since taking over operations here. The doors of the engine house are still coated with Alco soot leaving me with fond memories of years gone by. Former Ontario Southland van 4900 sits on an empty track in the distance after being refused shipment to OSR's Salford shop, thanks to riding on friction bearing trucks. Thankfully the old caboose has now been donated to a historical society and will be spared the scrappers torch.
