A typical scene in Salford during the heyday of plowing, when they pretty much plowed twice a week all winter. People were happy to be at work, everyone seemed glad to be there, didn't mind the photographers, and a gaggle of people attended to the equipment in a good mood preparing for the battle ahead. And who can argue with the museum like equipment shown in this picture, the plow being 30 years older (when rebuilt) than the early 50's GP7 at right. And all of this is still in service, too in 2021.
