During a rain filled late summer evening I had heard the CN 15:30 Job returning through Waterloo not far from my house near the Waterloo Spur. I grabbed my Kodak camera and hopped on my bike heading to the tracks where they crossed my street hoping for the weather to let up enough for me to get a photo. As I followed the spur the rain eventually slowed to a trickle and stopped as I neared the Roger Street crossing. As the train was gaining on me, I decided this was going to be as good as it was going to get and then just like young railfan luck, the dark swirling clouds parted for a brief minute with even the sun managing to make an unexpected appearance. Here, CN GP9RM 4108 is pictured returning from Elmira to the Kitchener yard with one rain soaked tanker crossing Roger Street beside the one thriving nursery and greenhouse located beside the spur.
