It was nice to see one of only three of these new CP maintenance of way multi-purpose push-pull train sets. The train had been working out of sight to our east around the bend as we waited out any traffic by Banff CP station. It appeared, running as far as opposite where we were standing and waited out an eastbound freight which came by. Then, off it went, and I grabbed this shot as it was the only one that showed exhaust as the former CP 3007 started up on the run back around the bend. The shadows of trees and the station interfered with the sun on the unit, but it was backlit slightly anyway. The non-powered car (close end) is MW 9507-31, railcar number CP 403093. The power unit on the far end is MW 9507-30, railcar # CP403013, formerly CP 3007. The three pack well cars, Greenbriar built, are 403041,42 and 43. I am grateful to Paul O'Shell for providing information on this, the third of the three sets built.
