Worth their salt, hauling salt. It is a stiff grade out of the harbour area where the under-the-lake (Huron) salt mine is located, and this 4-some has quite the struggle. Seen are GEXR 179, HATX 176, 217 and GEXR 177. The middle units were leased for awhile thru the winter. One of the mine structures can be seen in the background out on the lake. The bridge over Maitland River once carried the CP line into town, but now is reduced a walking trail after the rail was pulled up in 1989.
