A group of CN SW1200RS units lead by 1324 (sporting white extra flags) sit under the canopy in the open servicing bays at the east end of Toronto Yard's diesel shop, awaiting attention from shop forces. Other units on the shop tracks include other SW1200RS, GP9, and GP38-2 models - typical roadswitcher and local power at the time. A 1200-series unit still in the old green and gold paint is visible under the canopy behind 1324, one of many units that evaded the new "noodle" logo and paint into the early 70's.

CN's Toronto Yard (later MacMillan Yard) diesel shop was originally built near the north-west end of the yard in the mid-1960's, and was expanded over time. The canopy area here was extended and enclosed sometime in the 1980's.
