The old wooden farm bridges on Nichols Road created a great Railfaning location east of Newtonville, with hillside access opening up lots of photography possibilities. Unfortunately it was a little used bridge and after a container on a Cn train hit their bridge it was removed and not replaced. The CP bridge here would last a few more years but eventually was removed as well, eliminating most access to the area. Here a CP container train ducks under the bridge with a SD90 in charge, with its Canadian air conditioning on full, LOL. (Open front door that is).

  1. Also known as Ganzel Beach Bridge. This a long story from the guys at CHRA Niagara.

  2. I see the 9102 lives on as a re-build, unit number 7025. :-)
