The junction switch at Kerensky is only a few miles behind as 836 makes dust zipping by at track speed. The 4314 is coupled to the 9160, cab 79836 at the back. The fuel tanks can be seen further back, the empty gon is curious, they typically went out on 836 loaded with pipe for pipelines. Photo taken at a farm crossing, 2.5 miles west of Radway, time 11:00.

  1. Spectacular!! An era where time seemed to stand still!!

  2. Fantastic!

  3. Yes, this was the closing summer on that era for us on the Coronado Sub. Unit consists became more GP38 oriented in 86 (and more so thereafter) and many of the F units left for Hamilton and the Hammer. :-)
    Thanks fellows.
