    Looks like either 73 or 75 by the size

    Too bad the time of day when the photo was taken is not recorded. Then you would know exactly what train it was :-)

    Well, Phil, but that’s what mathematics is for :)

    One can deduce time of day based on the sun angle and, date, and length of the shadows with reasonable accuracy. (Also depends on location too)

    That looks a high noon sun… so approx 12-1 PM. The shadows are very very short.

    Lol, I am railroader, not a photographer.We have not time to look at the sun or shadows. I will leave that to you photogs :-)
