  3. Too bad the time of day when the photo was taken is not recorded. Then you would know exactly what train it was :-)

  4. Well, Phil, but that’s what mathematics is for :)

    One can deduce time of day based on the sun angle and, date, and length of the shadows with reasonable accuracy. (Also depends on location too)

    That looks a high noon sun… so approx 12-1 PM. The shadows are very very short.

  5. Lol, I am railroader, not a photographer.We have not time to look at the sun or shadows. I will leave that to you photogs :-)
