CP's Kinnear yard job was basically GP9's for the years I followed it in Hamilton in the 2000's and early 2010's. Then suddenly it all ended. Back in this era, I just had a 2'nd child and my time for train was *slim* so it only usually happened on the way to Family events in Hamilton or Sarnia. This was one such encounter with a nice matching set of three gp9's. It only took me 11 years to do this again with CN..

  1. Any time is train time. ;) This job is now 2 GP38-2′s.

  2. Two or three usually.

  3. Only goes less than three if there are power issues and/or waiting for more power to come from Toronto.

  4. 92 day inspections too.

  5. The GP38-2 and ECO unit lashup have been sitting at Lambton at the East end of the Yard for two days now.
