Year-old GP38-2 3034 and 20-year old GP35 5006 idle on the shop track in Brandon with S4 7116 and GP9 8535 (both veterans with about 30 years of service). The 3034 was one of 20 delivered in 1983 with another 95 to be delivered over the next two years for secondary and grain service. CP's GP35s and the two GP30s were also used around Manitoba in that service in the early-mid 1980s.
