An all MLW A-B-A set of power consisting of FPA2-FPB2u-FPA4 (6752-6858-6780) are ready to leave Capreol on the Montreal section of the Super Continental. Lots to see in this photo: a half dozen guys roaming around the yard (possibly brakeman trainees), the old water tank, work equipment storage cars, and section gang tool sheds just to mention a couple of items.

  1. A couple of track motor cars at the tool house, power switch machine, searchlight signals, a turnout that appears to be ballast free, fuel rack, and a dwarf signal, to mention a couple more items. :-) This photo is loaded!

  2. Thanks Paul.
Also visible are blue flag and stand for it, spare (or discarded) mu cable, machinist, drop bottom gondola in the 127000 series, end of (now gone) office building, and ladder used for cleaning locomotive windshields.
The unballasted track leading to the right was a short-lived crossover to the stores/freight shed track so that the passenger trains could be switched without blocking access to the Alderdale and Bala subs for other trains arriving or departing.
