Operating on westbound Harbord run on a gloomy winter's day, TTC PCC 4303 (A6-class, built CC&F 1947) makes the turn from northbound Spadina Avenue to westbound Harbord Street. Car 4324 follows behind (seen later here detouring back eastbound via Bloor and down Spadina). The row of Victoria-era houses in the background would be gobbled up by the nearby University of Toronto's expanding St. George campus in the following years (no doubt "Varsity Food" is due to UofT's nearby proximity). The Harbord streetcar route would be discontinued a year later, its last day of service February 25th 1966, coinciding with the opening of the new crosstown Bloor-Danforth subway line the next day.John F. 1. Not sure what to go for first :-) . The fins on the caddy, the trolley’s or the Players cigarette advert on the building.

  2. …… and that Coke bottle cap sign on the corner store and the Bug out front. This shot is rich !
