Here, the crew of OSH Rail Services returns east after hooking onto a cut of pipe cars to switch out the Welland Tube facility using the service sidings located mid-way between MP 2.08 and 1.6 of the Welland Tube Spur (formerly CASO). MPRX 101 gives off the neatest sound approaching Rusholme Road and passing the former Martech Rail compound with GIO (TRRY) 108 idling in the background. The crew deposited the cut of empty pipe cars and, in turn, pulled out five loaded cars placing them on the Spur’s siding for GIO to transfer, later in the afternoon, to Southern Yard.  This photo was captured while waiting for the anticipated ‘Moving Em Out’ photo ID: 49901.  Some days it just comes together and more!

Although the Welland Tube Spur is only a few miles in length these days, the rail bed is of remarkable soundness, remains weedless and, moreover, consists of 127# rail.  The well drained rail bed is comprised of Dolomite Limestone originating from Hagersville (Rock City), ON.
