CP 261 was often a good catch and this day was no different with a good variety of power. I miss the old set up at Guelph Junction. The service tracks here were often used for car storage, maintenance trains or motive power laying over between assignments. This day CP 5711 was assigned to a work train and the crew had just finished breaking up the train and putting it away for the night. 5711 at the time was one of only a few equipped with rear ditch lights. Today the service tracks are gone and Jersey barriers now take their place along the parking area.

  1. I found one train on that mow track in 2004 unloading tie plates. Thats it.

Looking forward to your shot of the train by the road. Mine was behind the houses.

  2. During a strike they dropped a train at Kelso and the 2 AC440’s sat here in front of the old hotel.

  3. Can’t do that anymore..

  4. That TOFC up front is another nice blast from the past.
