Caption: With its brass bell swinging, Canadian Pacific F1a 4-4-4 Jubilee 2928 is seen at Guelph Junction on the point of train 637, the daily except Sunday run from Hamilton to Goderich. Less than a year remained for this train which made its last run on April 23, 1955, ending all passenger service between Hamilton and Guelph Junction.
After this date, passengers travelling north of Guelph Junction could take the "doodlebug," CPR 9004 from the junction to Guelph - still making six round trips, six days per week - and change to mixed train M683/M684 at Guelph to continue their trip north to Goderich. Note the wooden RPO car first up.

THis beautiful CPR locomotive is presently parked out back of the Steamtown shops in Scranton. It is heavily weathered and totally neglected at the present. Story is that Steamtown wants to give it to a preservation group, but red tape between US and Can. govs has been a problem.
