Railpictures.ca - Paul O'Shell Photo: Only two of the four available KRC passenger cars at The Pas, MB were required on the Pukatawagan Mixed on this beautiful, freezing cold, March 16, 2023 morning, so two were left behind on a stub track at the south end of the station building. One of the two cars left behind was KRC 5648 (ex-VIA 5648, exx-CN 5648). It was once a CN Class PB-79-A, 79′ 0″ First Class car, built by CC&F in 1954. It was converted to its current baggage/coach configuration in 1998.
