Black Friday, the last day of scheduled Northl;ander service, we decided to ride the train that had been so important and integral to our lives, from Gravenhurst to Huntsville and back instead of chase it. Of course this meant limiting our photo locations to the two stations, both of which were not conducive to light-on-the-nose photography for the northbound run. I had to settle for slightly backlit shots to document this sad day in Canadian railroading history.
